Breaka Flavoured Milk is set to give one lucky punter the chance to compete as an event wildcard in the inaugural Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 4-Star, US$85,000 Breaka Burleigh Surf Pro.

Partying and globe trotting aside, the best part about being a professional surfer is riding perfect, uncrowded waves with only a few other people.

A rare opportunity exists to surf the infamous, reeling right hand barrels of Burleigh Point, in Queensland’s optimal swell window, with only a handful of other competitors – something many surfers could only dream of…

The “Win a Wildcard” competition is open to the general public. So, whether you’re a weekend warrior, former champion competitor, first timer or simply rate your chances against a field of the world’s best surfers, here’s how you enter…

Simply buy any Breaka Flavoured Milk product between now and February 7, log onto breakaburleighsurfpro.com.au follow the links and enter the last five digits of the barcode from your Breaka product.

Welcoming the idea of a Breaka Wildcard is Burleigh’s ASP World Tour competitor Jay Thompson, who will be one of headline acts heading into February’s event at his home break. 

“When you paddle out in any event, you never know what is going to happen, so the Breaka wildcard might just cause a few upsets,” said Thompson. 

“For surfers young and old, just being out in one of the world’s best waves with only a few other guys is an epic prize, not to mention the possibility of surfing against one of your favourite competitors,” he said.

The Breaka Burleigh Surf Pro will commence on 17 February and concludes on 21 February, 2010.
