The Rip Curl MP Classic is one of the most prestigious events on the calendar and is named after the first of the Cooly Kids; Michael Peterson.

It also marks the first leg of the Queensland Championsip Circuit boasting 3 star prizemoney and ratings points. $6000 is up for grabs as well as the chance to score Kirra Point if there's some swell around.

In 2010 the Rip Curl MP Classic will feature a large scale Festival showcasing some of the world's best surfers, best boards and best shapers.... more details to come in 2010!
